Safety is part of the product

A story should never cost someone their agency.

01

Control before publication

Drafts remain private. Storytellers review the transcript, edit or remove details, and make an explicit publishing choice.

02

Sensitive-topic review

Automated classification supports—not replaces—human judgment for stories involving self-harm, abuse, threats, minors, or identifying details.

03

Help before content

When language suggests immediate danger, the story flow pauses and presents direct, location-appropriate ways to reach real people.

04

A humane feed

People can exclude difficult topics. Warnings are specific and non-sensational, and no vulnerable story is used to drive engagement.

Need help now?

Stories is not a crisis service, but help should always be close.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department.

In the United States, call or text 988. In Canada, call or text 9-8-8. Both are available around the clock.

This foundation build starts with U.S. and Canadian resources. Before public launch, support routing must be localized for every country where Stories is offered.
